Proudly Parenting
Proudly Parenting motivated me unlile any other coloring book project. I conceptualized and designed this coloring book to applaud the parental effort of guiding children along a path that short-circuits mistakes yet stimulates self-propulsion towards a healthy and fulfilling life; an effort best accomplished by parental involvement. Involvement in the nurturing activities that are meaningful to mom and dad, and also involvement in activities that allow the children to discover what is to become meaningful to them. To blend this involvement into a shared exchange and appreciation of the interests of each member . . . serving as connective tissue - to unify and secure the bond that is Family. This is vitally important.

The Super Powers possessed by a Super Hero or Heroine may be fictional however, there is nothing fictional about the importance these images have on the development of a child's Self-Concept: how a child sees its-self, thinks about its-self, feels about its-self - contributing to how a child slots his or her self into a societal role. And if any form of media conveys to a child that his or her race isn't suitable for the role of protecting society against threats - the unconscionable acceptance of this leads to an overall unfavorable development of self image and self-esteem . . . here's to those formative first 5 years of a child's development.

When Wooing
I was smitten early: age 6, 1st grade; her name was Sheree Morgan; and with all my effort to get her attention, she wanted nothing to do with me.
Out of desperation to win her favor I decided to take a jeweled bracelet my sister won as a prize from a bubble-gum machine - and give it to Sheree.
Nervously while at school recess I called out that I had a present for her. Reluctantly she skipped over: smiled, and her eyes lit up as she eyed the bracelet. In a quick instant she looked at me with a pleasing acknowledgement, said "Oh, thank you." Then skipped back to play with her friends.
Yes, it comes at you so quickly - this urge of attraction; and what is it that one wouldn‘t do at this tender age to win favor with the boy or girl of their affection.
"When Wooing" is a statement of appreciation for the many forms these practice-runs will take - practice-runs leading to more complex courtship.

This concludes the Luvonne Coloring Book series
Producing these 6 coloring books has been a highlight for me, and I delight at the moments when I've seen kids plead with their parents to get them one of the books.
Many of the concepts harken back to the beauty and simplicity of my childhood; and although these images may be considered "dated" - I couldn't resist including them. It was a fun trip down memory lane for me, and I have confidence that the beauty in the simplicity will forever resonate.

P.S. Purposefully, I've excluded the cover's of the last 3 books (plus images that were produced in anticipation of book concepts for which I subsequently changed my mind) from being offered. At some point I will avail these illustrations in some form - as a Special Limited Edition
Similar Children Concepts
I have a host of childhood related concepts and ideas that I've outlined; so whereas this is the last of my coloring books, my fun in this genre is just beginning.
